safe Swipe troubleshooting

Q:
What is this glue and why does it work on my touch screen?

A:
Safe Swipe is a special formula of a type of “liquid glass”; a liquid made up of elements that are nearly the same thing that most touch screen devices are made from. When this liquid is applied to a touch screen device, like a cell phone or tablet, it creates a thin film that seals and protects, while still allowing the transmission of touch between your finger and the glass screen.

Q:
Why would I want to use this glue?

A:
We all hope to keep our phones in top shape, but accidents happen. You could sit a chair on top of your new iPad ™, or hit the sweet spot right in the corner of your Samsung Galaxy ™, shattering the screen, possibly with chunks and slivers of glass fallen out and sharp edges making the slide of your finger a risky maneuver. In a perfect world, we could get these screens replaced quickly and inexpensively, however, when it comes down to it, sometimes you need to keep using your phone until you can get the time or money to replace it or the screen.
Use this glue to seal the cracks on the glass, to fill in small gaps where the glass has separated. Then you can keep using your phone or tablet right away, that means, keep on letting customers sign on your touchscreen, and being able to use maps and calling in emergencies (and everyday use!).

Q:
Can I remove this glue from my phone?

A:
Yes, Safe Swipe is called Temporary for that very reason. This glue cover will wear off over time naturally and can be removed with a short soaking in water (this being done while the phone has the battery out and given ample time to dry before restarting).

Q:
Will this harm my device?

A:
We insist that your backup your data before using this product, as there is no warranty provided for loss to your equipment, data, time or any other claim. This product may void your warranty, use at your own risk. With that said, there is no reason to assume that it will do anything besides what is implied, when applied to glass, it will form a layer overtop, covering any sharp edges and it will fill in gaps and cracks in your glass. Deep cracks down to the digitizer could experience difficulty during glass only replacement, however, product can be removed with water.

Q:
How long does this product last on a touch screen?

A:
The amount of use and area where it is applied can increase or decrease the amount of time this product is typically good for, however, on a touch screen device, one thin coat of this glue to the cracked surface lasted over 120 hours of general use before re-application was needed.

Q:
Will this take away the visual cracks in my screen or change the appearance of the glass on my device?

A:
This glue will NOT make the physical cracks go away, you will still see them. Typically your phone’s brightness will reduce the visual discomfort of your cracked screen. The glue may give your phone glass a lightly frosted appearance, which tends to be visually acceptable during operation of most devices.

Q:
Has this been tested on MY Brand of Phone/Tablet?

A:
This product has undergone testing on many of the most popular devices with fantastic to acceptable results, depending on the depth of injury to the glass. If your device uses a glass touch screen, this product was designed to be used with it.
